Otto STRTWR was founded by Katy Otto in 2025 – but the story behind it begins much earlier. It starts with 20 years of photography, with creativity that is constantly evolving, and with the question: What comes next when the world around you changes?
Creativity as a foundation
Katy Otto is a photographer. Self-employed for two decades, she works at the intersection of service and art – advertising, portraits, set design, and opulent still lifes. Top-notch customer service and meticulous attention to detail have always been her hallmarks. But the industry underwent a fundamental transformation. Artificial intelligence took over tasks that previously required human expertise. The question was no longer whether things would change – but how.
From experiment to vision
What began as an experiment evolved into a vision. Katy Otto started creating complex collages in creative programs – initially without any commercial intent, purely out of creative motivation. The response on Instagram was overwhelming. People reacted to the designs with an enthusiasm that showed: something special was being created here.
As a long-time fashion enthusiast with experience in fashion blogging, she recognized the potential: these designs belong on clothing. They should become wearable, allowing people to express themselves individually and make a statement. Digital art should become streetwear.

The path to the fire
From idea to implementation, it was a demanding process. Print-on-demand, e-commerce, logistics, marketing – a completely new business landscape. There were challenges, learning curves, and moments of uncertainty. But the decision was made: The technology that had transformed one industry would now become the tool for something new.
Artificial intelligence was not fought as a threat, but used as a tool. Otto STRTWR emerged from this synthesis of photographic expertise, digital design, and technological innovation.
What Otto STRTWR stands for
Otto STRTWR is more than streetwear. It's proof that creativity finds a way – especially in times of change. That change doesn't mean the end, but the beginning of something new. That reinvention is possible – and can look extraordinary.
Every design tells a story. Every piece is a statement. Whoever wears Otto STRTWR carries a piece of this journey.
The journey continues
Otto STRTWR is constantly evolving. New designs, new techniques, new possibilities. The brand is not static – it grows, experiments, and remains in motion.
